There is an art to understanding how to market to a particular audience, and more importantly how to keep their attention via email without feeling as though your consumer is being succumbed to emails. This is a skill that I mastered early in my career, but have sustained throughout the span of my career.
Today corporations have a critical need to not only collect data, but decipher its meaning into strategic pieces that help to bring about clarity, direction and understanding of a market. My roles in business over the last decade has been realized through data, which supported product launches, software investments, market segmentation, targeting of regions, and more.

Salesforce.com is an integral part of business today. I lived, ate and slept with this CRM system day in and day out. And I am a huge fan. This system over Oracle and others is exceptional with its integration with most other platforms for customer on-boarding, quick excel integration, leads, management of customer engagement, dashboard tracking of sales and customers to true workflows and team management with product launches and other projects.

As leads came into iSqFt during my time as the Director of Customer Success, it was important to determine where the leads were coming from in terms of the channel, and more importantly to nurture that lead. I was responsible for tracking the leads and using direct marketing and calls to further help in converting the sale. The utilization of Salesforce.com and working with our internal Salesforce.com administrator was critical in getting this program instituted and used in tracking the success of leads from a quality perspective to the quantity of leads and subsequently their conversion rate, length of time that they were a customer and overall retention ratings.

The Six Sigma Certification was introduced to me while at Sun Chemical where I was a Senior Marketing Manager. I recognized the amount of money that the company was spending on advertisement agencies out of New York and Chicago and thought, how can we institute a process that will cut costs and streamline the amount of time that it takes to produce collateral and other tactical marketing execution activities. I defined the appropriate inputs and outputs for a more efficient process that was resourced to generate nearly $1M in cost savings over a 1 year period of work.

While at Medtronic, Inc. I obtained a six sigma greenbelt in DRM (Design, Reliability and Manufacturing). The voice of customer collection process that I created using an innovative app and the overall methodology to understand implant and instrument utilization was at the core of the project.
My first engagement with Focus Groups was in my consumer product goods experience with Procter & Gamble. Having seen a focus group come in to test out the Crest White Strips and hear true consumer feedback has been a great way to gain insight. Additionally, seeing the critics that then generated small changes in the development of the product was great to hear as well, since I was at the root of the changes as one of the research and development chemists.

In the medical device world, I have had the pleasure of conducting several focus groups with surgeons to understand their key insights to further the development of procedural solutions within the posterior cervical, adult deformity and pediatric deformity space. I also facilitated Brand Workshops as well.

Internally I have also conducted focus groups with internal employees as a follow up to group surveys and more.

Marketing Automation Tools
Using MAT to drive Marketing Campaigns and Ultimately Customer Behaviors.
As the Director of Customer Success, it was hard to define success without the utilization of a MAT like Marketo. The business was able to drive leads and track conversions using the tool as well as generate interest through marketing campaigns that were sent at specific customer engagement intervals where appropriate based on the on-boarding process in which I defined for all customers on the platform.

I started using Excel early in my career.
Throughout my career I have had to use excel extensively from pivot tables to vLookups, I have had my share of engagement with excel. The program has been my go to for all computations, forecasting, charts and understanding the data through sorting and mining through thousands of rows of data.
